About This Website:
Warwick’s World is a personal website and blog owned by Warwick Conway. My intention is to provide a resource of informative content where visitors may browse without the intrusion of unsolicited contact by spam, pop-up advertising or any other means generated by this website. This website is NOT currently sponsored by means of advertising or by any 3rd party, commercial or otherwise. This privacy statement applies only to the “Warwick’s World” website which has the website address http://blog.warwickconway.com/ and can be accessed via the domains warwickconway.com, warwickconway.co.uk and warwickconway.uk.
As with all websites and in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act, information about your visit is automatically logged at the server by the site’s hosting agent. This information may include your IP (internet) address, your location (country, region and city) if available, the date and time of your visit, the browser or other agent used to view the page, your platform or operating system (eg. Android, Windows etc.), the search engine and search terms used, the pages you visit and number of times that you visit.
This information is retained by the hosting agent for any applicable, statutory period and possibly indefinitely. I am able to view the server log in the form of statistical tables that provide valuable feedback regarding the popularity of individual posts, pages and the website as a whole. The information also assists me in checking the functionality of the site across various platforms. However, this website does NOT receive, collect or retain any information by this means that personally identifies you as an individual.
Embedded Content and Hyperlinks:
Subscribing to this Site:
If you choose to subscribe to this site, you provide a name and email address. The name is optional and used solely in personalising emails by inserting ‘Hi yourname’ at the top of the message. Your email address is used solely in delivering email messages to your inbox. This information is not shared with any other party nor is it retained beyond the period for which you are subscribed. By subscribing you receive brief email messages to inform you whenever a new article is posted to the site or when a major site update occurs. There is a working link at the foot of each email that allows you to unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time whereupon your name and email address are deleted.
Email Contact Form:
Visitors who contact this website by e-mail using the Contact Form may receive a single brief acknowledgement by reply or else a response to a specific query. There are no automatically generated email replies. The visitor’s name, email address and query are NOT shared with any other party or used for any other purpose whatsoever. The information is only used as a means of responding to the query and is NOT retained thereafter. Should a visitor want to continue the dialogue, I then provide my contact details so that this can take place by other means that do not involve this website.
From time to time, Google reCAPTCHA v2 will be deployed in the Contact Form to prevent ‘spam’ emails from being sent to this site. This will not usually require any user input and so the use of reCAPTCHA is indicated by a logo at the foot of the form. When in use, ReCAPTHCHA will monitor your interaction with the form in order to detect legitimate use but will not retain any information.
